what's wrong with the setup ????

Hi,

I've tried to install sightmax around 10 times but failed to get it to work properly. It doesn't run the script to create table for the database (sightmax does create sightmaxdb on my db server though,  the dbname, user and password is absolutely correct 'cause i checked many times) . I just don't know what's wrong with it.

Please help me out. I need to have a livechat for my site asap. I like this product but if i can't get it to work soon, i have to look for the alternatives.

P/S:  error message: [Microsoft][ODBC Sql Server Driver][Sql Server]Invalid object name 'SightMaxDB..tblVersion'

ok, i got it installed, including the sightmaxdb database. However, i got the error:

"There was a network error loggin in:

the operation has timed- out....

Your gui application may not be compatible with the server."

I'm using windows 2003 and the sightmax 2.2 downloaded from free trial.

ok i got it working now. However i have a problem to get it to work with asp.net 2.0, this version can't run on asp.net 2.0 . Is there anyway to run sightmax in an asp.net 2.0 application ?

 

Actually, it can run in the same domain as .net 2.0, you simply need to create a new app pool, point the sightmax virtual directories to use that app pool and you should be good to go.  Let us know if you need help doing this, it's very easy.
